Ready to play rugby with the Dragons?

There is a place for everyone with the Chicago Dragons: our training is designed to meet the goals of high-level competition and full participation for all players.  We serve the demands of all levels of athlete. Experienced players come to the Chicago Dragons because we offer the chance to step in and play intense rugby in a fun yet competitive environment.

The Chicago Dragons’ coaching staff is certified by USA Rugby.  Whether you’ve been recently playing high level club or college rugby, or haven’t played in years, the Chicago Dragons are a great place to begin, extend or advance your rugby career.

Experienced competitive athletes find that the Chicago Dragons offer the challenge of a thrilling new sport which combines a social and competitive atmosphere.  You’ll get plenty of playing time early on even as you learn the game from our coaching staff.

Less experienced athletes enjoy the Chicago Dragons because they find like-minded teammates who also came to the game with little or no experience in team sports, but were quickly sold on the thrill and camaraderie of the game. You will learn the game of rugby while realizing athletic abilities you never knew you had.

Finally, there are team members who love rugby but don’t participate on the pitch.  We offer everyone a chance to be a part of the Chicago Dragons as a social member.

Not sure you want to play?

Are you interested in hanging out with the Dragons, but have no interest in playing a rough and tumble sport like rugby? You’re in luck! We offer Social Memberships to the club for $60 per season. Your generous contribution gets you into our post-match Third Halves and assorted parties throughout the season, complete with beverages (hard and soft) and food at no charge to you.

Not to mention you’ll be helping our club afford tournament registration, pitch fees, paying referees, and all the other costs inherent in playing a club sport. Oh and you’ll win the affection and gratitude of an entire rugby team—not a bad thing to have going for you.
